“Light is the magical ingredient that makes or breaks a space”, says Benjamin Noriega Ortiz, a renowned interior designer.
Light brings warmth & adds life into a room. It can define and transform even the smallest of spaces into functioning living spaces. Yet for most of us, lighting is an afterthought when it comes to interiors and is often neglected. We fail to understand that lighting is the single most significant factor in today’s lifestyle.
We have compiled a list of our favourite types of lightings for interiors that may be helpful while designing your interiors.

Ambient Lighting
It is the most basic type of lighting, hence is even called general lighting. It is the primary source of lighting and acts as a foundation of all the lighting in the room. Ambient lighting should be well balanced as the other 2 layers are added on this. The key to achieving balanced lighting lies in the type of room that we are trying to illuminate. There are various types of fixtures for ambient lighting like chandeliers, recessed lights, track lightings, etc. The right look for your décor can be achieved by choosing the right lighting type, intensity and location.
