1.Aloo Mutter
Aloo mutter is very delicious and most known recipe, which is made with potatoes and peas. This goes great while serving with paratha, poori or roti. You can also serve this with plain rice for a great meal. To cook this recipe we need
Ingredients:
- Potatoes
- Peas
- Chopped onions, tomatoes and chillies
- Chopped ginger and garlic
- Cashew powder
- Chilli powder
- Turmeric
- Salt
- Oil
- Garam masala powder
- Coriander leaves
Recipe:
First put chopped onions, tomatoes, chillies, ginger and garlic into a mixer and grind it to a smooth paste. Keep the paste aside and start the procedure. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, after cracking of the cumin seeds, add the ground paste to the oil and cook for 5mins. Now add cashew powder and cook it till the oils comes out from the paste. Saute them in regular intervals. Once the paste gets thicken add red chilli powder, turmeric. Saute well and add cubed potatoes and peas to them along with small amount of water. Add salt as per your taste and cover with a lid and cook if for 20mins. Add garam masla powder as a last touch to the recipe, saute well and put in coriander leaves and serve hot with poori, roti or whatever you want.
2.Aloo Paneer
Here is another tasty recipe with aloo and paneer. This goes great with rotis and chapathis. To make this recipe we need
Ingredients:
- Potatoes
- Paneer
- Chopped onions, tomatoes and chillies
- Chopped ginger and garlic
- Cashew powder
- Chilli powder
- Turmeric
- Salt
- Garam masala powder
- Coriander leaves
- Oil
Recipe:
To start with the recipe first add chopped onions, chillies, tomatoes, ginger and garlic to a mixer and grind into smooth paste. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, after cracking of the cumin seeds, add the ground paste to the oil and cook for 5mins. 3.Aloo Tikki
Now comes the snack recipe. This recipe is crispy, crusty from outside and moist from inside. These are great evening snacks to put down your carvings. To make these delicious we will need
Ingredients:
- Potatoes
- Green peas
- Red chilli powder
- Salt
- Chopped onions, chillies, ginger and garlic
- Coriander
- Garam masala
- Mango powder
- Bread crumbs
- Oil
- All-purpose flour
Recipe:
First cook potatoes and green peas together. Once they are cooked well, grate the potatoes and mash them. Mash peas as well. To the mashed potatoes, add all the ingredients those are listed above except oil. Make it into a thick paste. Now start making the patties. Grease your hands with oil and take small amount of mixture and mould them into patties. Heat the pan with 2tbs of oil and place the patties over the pan. Once the lower side of patties turns brown and crispy, flip and repeat the same. Then transfer them to the paper towel to absorb excess oil. Repeat the same for all the patties to fry. You can have it plain or with green chutney, yoghurt raita or with tamarind chutney.

4.Potato Sandwich

Ingredients:
- Bread slices
- Mashed potatoes
- Chopped chilies and coriander leaves
- Butter
- Salt
- Mango and cumin powder
- Garam masala
- Red chilli powder
Recipe:
In a bowl add mashed potatoes, chopped chillies and coriander leaves, salt as per your taste, Mango and cumic powder, red chilli powder along with garam masala and give a good mix till they are we combined. Apply butter to the bread slices and spread the potato mixer over the buttered bread and cover with another buttered bread. Now apply butter on both the outer sides of sandwiches, place them in griller and grill for 2-3mins. Serve them hot with tomato sauce to relish.
5.Aloo Palak
This is a classic recipe with lightly spiced and spinach. This pairs great with rice, roti and chapathi. To make this yummy recipe we need
Ingredients:
- Potatoes
- Palak
- Chopped onions, tomatoes and green chillies
- Ginger garlic paste
- Cloves & cinnamon
- Turmeric
- Garam masala
- Ghee
- Salt
Recipe:
First boil the potatoes and dice them, make sure the potatoes are not over cooked as they are going to be cook again. Meanwhile wash the palak leaves and drain them. Along with green chillies blend the palak and keep aside. Now start with the recipe. Heat ghee and fry cloves, chinnamon. Add the chopped onions and stir continuously till they turn into goldish brown. Now add ginger garlic paste and let the raw smell out from it and add tomatoes to it. Let it cook till the oil releases from the mixture with regular stirring. Now add the palak paste with little amount of water and salt as per your taste. Simmer the gravy and cook it till the gravy thickens. Now add the cooked potatoes and mix gently and cook for another 5mins in simmer. Add garam masala and cook for a minute and serve hot with rotis, chapathis or rice.
6.Baby Potato with Green Peas
Baby potato with green peas is tasty, dry and spicy. This recipe is made with baby potatoes, green peas along with some spices. For this recipe we will need
Ingredients:
- Baby potatoes
- Green peas
- Cumin seeds
- Garam masala
- Cumin powder
- Mango powder
- Coriander powder
- Chat masala
- Chopped chillies, ginger
- Oil
- Salt
- Red chilli powder
Recipe:
Wash the baby potatoes and slice them into two. Wash the green peas and keep aside. In a pan heat oil and let cumin seeds crack. Add potatoes and peas to it and saute. After 5 mions add chopped green chilles and ginger, stir for a minute. Add redchilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, stir well and add ½ cup water to them and cook them in simmer. Cover tightly and cook them for 25mins. Saute with regular interval and if water dries up add in small amounts if required. Once the veggies got cooked and water dries up add salt as per your taste and mango powder along with garam masala. Saute well and garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot. This works great with rotis.

7.Aloo Methi
Aloo methi is a classic Indian recipe made with potatoes and methi leaves. This recipe is so simple and easy with less ingredients. To try out this yummy recipe we need
Ingredients:
- Chopped methi leaves
- Potatoes
- Chopped green chillies
- Salt
- Oil
Recipe:
Separate the leaves from the stem and soak them in water for a while. Remove the leaves with your hands and transfer them into fresh water. Drain the water and chop the methi leaves, keep aside. Peel the potatoes, and dice them. In a pan heat oil and first add diced potatoes. Saute them till the edges turn brown. Then add chopped green chillies and saute well. Now add chopped methi leaves and salt as per your taste. Continue to cook them on low flame. Let the water from methi leaves dry and potatoes cook. If you feel like potatoes need to be cooked more and water dries up, then add tablespoons of water and cook them. Remember that the water needs to dry up fully and the recipes should be dry. Finally serve it hot as it is.
