The most awaited event of the year is back. Hamstech’s annual Fashion Show & Exhibition is finally back after a long wait. I’m sure many of you were eagerly waiting for this Fashion Show. Some, to get an update on the latest fashion trends in the market and others to be a part of this event and prove their mettle.
The agenda of our annual fashion show is to train, evaluate & nurture budding designers and give them the opportunity to prove their talents.
The Live Digital Fashion Show, 2021 will display more than just fashion! After a year of staying home, the students have come back with the same gusto and are looking forward to presenting their work on the ramp.
After a long gap, we are again back with lots of fresh ideas. This year, the Hamstech Fashion Show is to be held on 10th November on your screens. The show is scheduled to take place from 12 noon. This time in the show we are going to display a total of 26 collections by 200+ student designers. The collections will feature of various types like – ethnic, fusion and western attires which will be showcased on the ramp.
One of the most awaited and biggest shows in town is nothing but our Hamstech Fashion Show. The main objective of this show is to provide its students a great opportunity to showcase their creative talents and garner valuable experiences.
Although the show is only a one day event, to make it stunningly successful, the preparations begin at least 2 to 3 months prior. Every Hamstech Fashion Designing student completely dedicates their time and binds themselves in creating the best outfit designs.
The entire team of designing will be mentored by a 4-time award winning Fashion Designer and Stylist, Mrs. Neeta Lulla. Even the process of sketching, designing and stitching goes through a filtration process. The garments displayed in the show are also handpicked by the celebrity mentor, Neeta Lulla.
Mrs. Neeta Lulla is a renowned fashion designer and has an inspiring & noteworthy personality. She has been associated with Hamstech for over two decades. As a fashion stylist, she has worked on everything from traditional costumes for epic films to dresses for fashion icons. Her knowledge and expertise in the field has been very instrumental in the success of the fashion show and the development of career prospects of the students.
She closely monitors every student’s work and guides them. Her suggestions and feedback are implemented so that the final product is perfect for display on the ramp. The current situation demands silhouette styles with relaxed, casual and classic cuts – easy-to-wear ethnic & fusion wear with a strong emphasis on Reduce, Repurpose & Reclaim. Students have worked on twenty six interesting collections on the same concept under the mentorship of renowned fashion designer Neeta Lulla. The best thing about the garments is that they are affordable and are customized to individual fitting measures.
2021 will witness a panoply of collections like Cascara Tan, An Evening in Spain, Sindh-E-Ishq, Tales of Blue, Knot in Love, Ishq-E-Qalam Zani, Sufiyana Sukoon, Button Tiska, Hindisa, Gossamer Glam and many others. Each of these features intricate embroidery, applique, mirror work, motifs, clay and wall art, paintings, festivals from across the world, classical dance forms, lives of indigenous tribes, pottery, sequins, sculptures, temples and architectures; as detailed as masterpieces themselves.
Hindisah, this Simplistic Collection features casual wear inspired by Geometric art, related to the Greek art of 700-900 BC which uses patch work with machine embroidery and block printing techniques.
Tales Of Blue, a denim collection as the name implies, is a smart collection inspired by the African prints that has geometric motifs & prints. The collection has a combination of white block prints with blue embroidery embellishments.
Crazy Chaos- This is a casual wear collection inspired by the patchwork technique of embroidery. Two shades of denim and 2 different colours of organza are used. The embroidery details are meticulous, using pearls, beads & sequins as adornments on fabric patches.
Hamstech focuses on preparing students to stand at par with the best in the industry. It’s only when students are given industry-centric training that they can face tough competition. Hamstech has been very instrumental in identifying every student’s talent and guiding them in the right direction.
As in the previous years, this year too, the Hamstech Fashion Show is aiming to repeat its success story. The show’s success would indeed be a dream-come-true for each and every student and an excellent path to raise a career in fashion designing.
