Among the many leading designers of the country such as Shravan Kumar, Kanchan Sabharwal, Archana Kochar, etc. Hamstech students were also among the participants.
Exquisite patterns, intricate embroidery and innovative silhouettes were proudly displayed by the seven student designers of Hamstech on 16th September 2017. The collection name, “Fusion Fiesta” showcased at this event was a beautiful blend of culture and religion of India. Fusion Fiesta as the name suggests is a celebration of art, architecture, and culture, which was exhibited through elegant silhouettes and inspired by different but unique elements of the world.
The student designers portrayed various themes and incorporated embroidery, delicate prints, conventional weaves and alluring tie and dye techniques in their collections. They used lots of pastels and vivid colours that perfectly blended with each silhouette.
Weaves such as Ikkat combined with fine fabric like silk is one such example that stands out in the collection. Use of other fabrics such as chanderi, georgette, net, etc. also added an element of interest in the garment.
Some of the most picked garments from the collection were sarees, kurtas, palazzos and lehengas. Every student put in remarkable effort to create extravagant and elegant collection.
