“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.”
This quote by Diane Mariechild eloquently describes the essence of who women are.
International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th. It’s a day marked to appreciate every woman’s stupendous contribution to the society. But, at Hamstech, every day is Women’s Day!
Hamstech has been educating, employing and empowering women ever since its inception in 1992. Thus, this cause holds great significance for us.
Since decades women have been the underprivileged gender, to the extent of constantly fighting for their day-to-day needs. They have been deprived of their fundamental rights like education, health, social respect, etc.
Speaking of women’s education, Hamstech Institute of Fashion & Interior Design has been a pivot in this area. This is due to its constant effort towards helping young and aspiring women to acquire the right skills in order to develop a fruitfulc career.
One of our students, Latha, runs a successful fashion house today and gives employment to many other women. She has set an example for other women who want to be financially independent.
She highly recommends Hamstech because the institute offers an array of courses in various other sectors like Jewellery design and is known to be the best Photography training institute in Hyderabad.
Today, women have reached every sphere of life. We have awe-inspiring political figures like the former First Lady, Michelle Obama, iconic pop stars like Madonna and meritorious sportswomen like our very own Phogat sisters. All these women mark the true epitome of achievement and pride.
Even in our day-to-day life, we come across women who have touched lives. One name that tops my list is my mother. Along with being a freelance designer, she also runs an NGO.
Just few days back as I was having a conversation with her, she narrated the tale of her journey from a student to running an NGO to an independent designer. She told me all about how she got started with taking care of the NGO that was handed over to her by my grandfather. The NGO, named “Savera”, works towards the emancipation of underprivileged women. Along with imparting basic education, the NGO also develops their skill so as to make every one of them financially independent.
My mom always loved doing interiors but her busy schedule was an obstruction. One day, she ran into a friend by coincidence, who mentioned that she was pursuing a part-time course in interior designing from Hamstech. And that was it!
She decided to go ahead and do a part-time course in Interiors. Today, she not only spearheads an NGO but also works as a freelance interior designer.
Hamstech has been one such educational institute in Hyderabad that has created a name for itself. It truly believes in women empowerment and, over the years, has nurtured female students into successful as well as enterprising individuals.
Like before, women still continue to play an important role in bringing an evolutionary change. Therefore, education is the key to every woman’s success. Every woman has the right to education, be it from the rural or urban sector. If she is educated and independent, nothing can stop her from chasing her dreams.
So, let’s give every woman what she really deserves: Freedom of choice, freedom of voice and freedom of creativity!
