Step 1: Use a garnet sandpaper to remove any remains of the old paint.

Step 2: Use chalk paint for the white finish.

Step 3: Use a soft wax or a polyurethane or a wood polish.

 

 

This is not a standard procedure. You can stop right away with chalk paint to give it a plain look. An antique finish to that will be a top coat of soft furniture wax, if you want a glossy finish for an elegant look. You can opt for wood polish too.

The process is not complete until you leave aside the painted piece of furniture for several hours and let it dry.
