This is how Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all times expresses his thoughts on sports through this statement, “Just play, Have fun. Enjoy the game”.
Indeed, sports is all about playing and enjoying the game. Players win and lose all the time, but playing the sport in the right spirit is what matters.
Keeping up with the same vigour, this year too Hamstech Institute of Creative Education, Hyderabad has organized its Sports Day, ‘Sports Mania 2018’. Hamstech’s Sports Mania will be held on 2nd April, 2018 at Oro Sports Village, Hyderabad. The chief guest this year will be the renowned freestyle wrestler Geeta Phogat, who won the first ever gold for India in the Commonwealth Games in 2010. She will grace the occasion along with other personalities like Mrs. Ajita Reddy, Director, Hamstech Institute.
Retaining the existing sports from last year, cricket, badminton, table tennis, throw ball, football, kho-kho and kabaddi, Hamstech has added one more sport — the tug of war to the list. The participants would include students from the Fashion, Interior, Jewellery Design and Photography department. All the participants will be given tee-shirts with the Sport Mania 2018 logo printed on it.
Hamstech Institute is well-known for its creative education. However, accompanied with academic education, the institute also believes in encouraging its students in sports. This initiative by Hamstech is aimed to bring out the best in students and give them an opportunity to prove their caliber in sports.
There are many creative educational Institutes in the city that give importance to only academics and less attention to recreational activities. However, Hamstech successfully breaks this preconceived notion and perfectly balances education and sports. The institute offers creative courses in Fashion Design, Interior Design and Photography.
Hamstech’s Sports Mania 2018 is open to all the students. Faculties have received huge registrations from the Interior Design, Fashion, Jewellery and students pursuing Photography course.
With the support of faculties and mentors, Hamstech Institute has created a conducive environment for its students to grown into independent thinkers.
So this year, Hamstech along with its students and staff, is all geared up for Sports Mania 2018 to ‘Raise the Dust’.
